I am a college professor from Ohio. I teach arts at The Art Institute of Ohio. I am 30 years old
My School
Teaching was never my dream job. When I was young, I wished I was a doctor like many of my classmates. When I began teaching, I realized art was a talent of mine. I never realized that before because my art teacher, when I was young, was so strict. My friends and I could never be creative with what we drew or painted. When I came out of colege, I began looking for a job. I noticed many jobs at schools and coleges were open. As I started to look around, this colege caught my eye. I had no idea there were coleges that specialized in the arts. When I applied for the job, they told me I was a natural artist, perfect for helping the students with their artistic abilities. I never heard anyone say that about me before.
My Life
All of the students I teach are great at art and are very creative. I am worried students will get less of an artsy school life because art is getting taken out of many schools. Children may not have creativity any more! My husbind helped get me involved in politics because he is a lawyer. Sometimes when I had a day of, he would need some help with a crime. I sometimes even participated in court! I was surprized when I was chosen to be a deligate. I was excited but felt weird leaving my 2 year old twins.
My History
My first interest was political history. I used to be able to recite the presidents in order (it was all memorized) My first job was an assistant at a summer school for history classes. I started it my senior year of high school.
What I do in my free time
I almost NEVER get free time, but I enjoy work. When I do get free time, I enjoy drawing and playing with my children.
